Basically who you want to ask for tips on how to hunt. The most knowledgeable of prey weaknesses and the locations of their habitats. Oso tried to use them but broke them immediately. Actually learned to make tools for easier hunting. He’s the one who’s the most concerned about there being no other Nagas than his family around on their island (I imagine them living on a remote tropical island). His favorite is a single pink sock with a familiar cat idol on it. Unlike Kara, he stashes his belongings away from prying eyes. The Naga will collect anything remotely relating to the “strange, intelligent creatures with the two walking appendages”. He takes frequent baths to maintain his scales’ bright blue sheen. He specifically chose his territory to have a large body of water to admire his reflection in. Unfortunately, it just alerts them to his presence and he’s spent a half hour slithering around in circles singing until his throat is sore. He firmly believes that his singing can entrance his prey. Any cool accessories are made by this guy. Jyushimatsu tends to knock them off pretty easily and Kara has to gather them while his younger brother is shouting about his adventures. He discovers flower pressing and his tree is absolutely littered with them. You know how there’s bird species that decorate their nest to attract mates? I can imagine Kara doing that - taking whatever beautiful ornament or flower he can find. Whether it’s because he’s a rare mythical creature or the unsettling appearance of deep, predatory crimson eyes staring into your own sends a chill up your spine. If you were to stare into his eyes, you wouldn’t be able to look away. The likeliest to just beg his brothers to hunt for him if all else fails. Complete with tail thrashing and loud whining that rivals Jyushimatsu’s own voice in how far it can carry throughout the trees. Often times this results in him returning and finding his meal absolutely gone. He can’t eat without having a drink to enjoy so he’ll just… plop his catch right onto his nest and leave for god knows how long. He’ll just wait until he finds prey that’s already injured and then pounce once the opportunity presents itself. Some of these are probably uninspired or unoriginal, sorry. Here’s a couple of thoughts on the Naga Matsus that have been floating around in my head. Let’s kick off this blog with some headcanons.
